EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — More than 100 elementary school students in the El Paso Independent School District are receiving free dental exams Friday.
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso and Marathon Petroleum are teaming up once again for Neighborhood Smiles Day, an event that aims to promote oral health and well-being among some of the Borderplex’s youngest residents.
The partnership will see 120 EPISD elementary school students representing the 79905 neighborhood receive free basic dental services administered by students from the Hunt School of Dental Medicine.
In addition to the dental exams, dental students will talk with the children about good oral health, healthy food choices, proper brushing techniques and more.
