The American Dental Association is seeking volunteers for its workforce ambassador program to help address workforce shortages.
Launched by the ADA Council on Dental Practice, the program seeks to increase the sharing of information and best practices among member dentists and state and local dental society leaders. Workforce ambassadors will identify one SMART — specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound — goal related to workforce issues to address for their state, learn from leaders who have developed innovative workforce-related programs, and share information and resources with each other.
“The council’s priorities this past year have focused on addressing the acute workforce shortages in the dental profession,” said Shane Ricci, D.D.S., chair of the Council on Dental Practice. “The ADA Workforce Ambassador Program is new, and its goals are to connect member dentists and state and local society leaders interested in making a collective impact on this important topic, advancing creative solutions and sharing knowledge.”
