An Alamo City institution is adding a new award to its collection. Roadrunners, we see you moving up. The University of Texas at San Antonio (UT San Antonio) announced on Tuesday, March 10, that its School of Dentistry made its way into the top 10 list of a prestigious ranking. The recognition comes from the Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research study, which compiles annual funding data from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The most recent analysis, done in 2025, places UT San Antonio ninth among all dental schools in the U.S. It also crowns them as No 1 in all of Texas. Many consider these results to be one of the most objective measures of biomedical research strength, per a media release.
