CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) – Little Egypt Pediatric Dentistry hosted its annual Free Dental Day, where 50 children received free dental care.
Children ages 12 and under in need of a dental examination and necessary X-rays attended the event between 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event ran on a first-come, first-served basis.
The dentistry said the exam satisfies the Illinois school dental exam requirement for students.
“The kids come in, they’re high-fiving, they’re smiling, they’re out in the bounce house, they’re eating popsicles at the dentist, so you really can’t put a price tag on that part,” said owner Dr. Travis Cripps. ”The connections you make with the kiddos, the appreciation from the families, that’s what keeps us doing it every year.”
