We’ve watched. We’ve waited. We’ve inquired numerous times to see when and if the Medicaid dental fee schedule would be modified as a result of the July 22 public hearing.
Notification supposed to have been posted
Last Friday, around 1 PM, a representative of HHSC Provider Services responded to us that “the final reimbursement rates for the dental topic had been approved. The rates will be effective on September 1, 2025. A provider notification is forthcoming and the bulleting will be published in the TMHP website soon.”
Nothing to date
We watched the TMHP website the rest of Friday afternoon, and looked at it occasionally over the Labor Day weekend. Nothing was posted. Nothing was posted on Tuesday. We were, however, contacted by several providers who told us that the DMOs had already updated their fee schedules.
We followed up with Provider Finance on Wednesday by email. No response, and it’s been silent ever since.
So the dental fee schedule issued on June 16 is the one that is in use.
