LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) – The Dental Depot is a pediatric dentist office with a unique railroad theme, and Pediatric Dentist Dr. Scott Worley says it serves a significant purpose.
“Going to the dentist can be intimidating for anyone, especially children. So we tried to create a theme here that’s open and inviting and fun. And the open-bay area allows parents to join their child while we’re in the treatment area,” Dr. Worley said.
Dr. Worley said that when his patients are able to see their parents nearby or even their neighbor getting dental work done, it provides a sense of security rather than being in a traditional, closed-in office.
Dr. Worley said the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry has two tips for dental care.
