DES MOINES, Iowa — Delta Dental of Iowa and DentaQuest will begin providing dental coverage for Iowa Medicaid members under a new contract.
On Aug. 15, 2025, the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services announced plans to award contracts to Delta Dental of Iowa and DentaQuest USA to provide dental coverage for Iowa Medicaid members through the state’s Dental Wellness Plan and Hawki.
Delta Dental has served Iowa Medicaid members since 2014, while DentaQuest is new to the program.
The plans will cover services including exams, cleanings, fillings, root canals, crowns, dentures and extractions.
