Louisiana company bills Medicaid over $100k for services employees didn’t, weren’t authorized to provide

COVINGTON, LA (WAFB) – The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) may have a legal battle on its hands if it wants thousands of dollars improperly billed to Medicaid back.

State auditors interviewed employees at Convington-based Walk With Me Community Improvement Center (WWM) who said they had no idea why the company used their information to improperly bill over $100,000 to Medicaid.

Between over a dozen employees, the company billed Medicaid thousands of dollars for counseling services employees didn’t provide. Employees weren’t qualified in some cases to perform the services the company billed for.
