San Antonio’s helper, clinic owner, admits fraud and kickback plans

San Antonio – San Antonio’s doctor’s assistant pleads guilty to Medicaid and Medicare fraud and can face up to 20 years in prison.

Christopher Felix Montoya, who owns the TPC Family Care and Medical Clinic in San Antonio and Laredo, is one of the plots to scam the United States and pay and receive healthcare kickbacks, according to the United States District Court for the Attorney’s Office in Western Texas. Allowed one count.

From September 2018 to June 2019, he was accused of sending a patient’s nasal swab for testing to a specific laboratory for a health care kickback.

In another case, he pleaded guilty to writing a prescription for a combination drug for payment from a California pharmacy. According to the US Federal Attorney’s Office, the pharmacy had a “high” TRICARE refund, paid over $ 797,000.
