11 months after resignation, Kansas Medicaid inspector general spot stands vacant amid delays, opposition 

In June 2014, Phil Hermanson resigned as the KanCare inspector general, amid scrutiny of his lack of experience, past bankruptcy and driving under the influence. The resignation brought an end to one saga only to begin another, more protracted one.
