3 Investigates: Records reveal extensive history of complaints against Pensacola dentist

PENSACOLA, Fla. — One of the former employees of the Pensacola dentist charged for allegedly inappropriately touching patients and staff spoke publicly for the first time about attempts she claims to have made to hold him accountable.

Dr. Charles Stamitoles currently faces several counts of misdemeanor battery. Arrest reports say he inappropriately touched an employee and two patients.

The former employee agreed to speak with Channel 3 if we did not disclose her name or show her face. She claims Stamitoles’ latest allegations shed light on just part of what she witnessed firsthand working for the dentist. The woman told Channel 3 she didn’t know about his criminal history or board of dentistry complaints before working there.

Public records show Stamitoles is still allowed to practice dentistry, despite several suspensions and tens of thousands of dollars in fines.
