HHSC yesterday sent out a notice that a new draft HHSC strategic plan has been issued to cover 2015 to 2019.
They have invited public comment.
Naturally, the report is 348 pages long and their first public hearing on the report is tomorrow in Fredericksburg.
Also naturally, they have only given five business days for the public to provide written comment. The deadline for public submissions is Tuesday, June 3rd.
This is government bureaucracy at its best – the pretense of encouraging public participation by inviting stakeholders to comment while ensuring there isn’t enough time for them to even read the document.
Here is the release and link to the report should any Medicaid provider seek to provide a comment by the deadline.
