Former owner of Austin Dental Practices sentenced to 3 years for wire fraud

AUSTIN, Texas — A former Austin Dental Practice owner is sentenced to 36 months in federal prison after being convicted of wire fraud.

In addition to prison time, 49-year-old Clinton Finch Herzog, of Pearland, has been ordered to pay $2,182,760.63 in restitution and a supervised release term of three years.

Court documents state Herzog defrauded investors in his dental practices out of hundreds of thousands of dollars between 2016 and 2018.

The documents say he diverted their money for his own personal use including paying for expensive meals, airline tickets, jewelry, liquor, and travel expenses.
