Susan Putthoff, DDS, of Kerrville, has been nominated by the San Antonio Academy of General Dentistry for the organization’s Texas Dentist of the Year award.
This award is considered the most prestigious honor a Texas dentist can earn, a spokesperson for the organization
Putthoff is one of 13 dentists nominated for this year’s award. She and the other nominees will be honored at the Texas Academy Awards on Friday, Sept. 12. Each nominee will be recognized and will receive an engraved plaque.
The Texas Academy Awards will conclude with the announcement of the 2025 Texas Dentist of the Year.
“Being nominated for Texas AGD Dentist of the Year is a significant honor that reflects a dentist’s unwavering dedication to their patients and the profession,” said Hanna Lindskog, Texas AGD president. “We applaud Dr. Putthoff and all of this year’s nominees for their exceptional service and leadership in dentistry.”
Putthoff earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2010 and received her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2015. She has held numerous leadership roles across local, state, national and international dental organizations. Her service includes presidencies of the San Antonio AGD and the Heart of Texas Dental Society, as well as leadership positions within the Texas AGD, Texas Dental Association, ADA and AGD. She currently chairs the Texas AGD Advocacy Council and is a fellow of both the American and International Colleges of Dentists.
