HARTFORD >> A New York state man faces years in federal prison and hefty fines after pleading guilty Wednesday to charges that he helped a convicted felon get Medicaid money through dental practices in West Haven, Stamford and Trumbull.
Mehran Zamani, 50, of Pound Ridge, N.Y., could be sentenced to up to three years behind bars for one count of obstructing the administration of a federal health care program, according to a press release from the office of Deirdre M. Dally, U.S. attorney for the District of Connecticut.
