Oklahoma attorney general charges Yukon man with Medicaid fraud

OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt has filed charges against a Yukon man for allegedly charging Medicaid recipients for counseling services he never provided.

John Edward Karis has been arrested and faces four counts of Medicaid fraud and one count of identity theft. It was unclear whether Karis had an attorney.

The attorney general alleges that Karis used the personal identities of four of his Medicaid recipients in an attempt to receive more Medicaid funds.
