Public Hearing on Senate Bill 1803 – Tuesday, April 30th

texas state emblem in capitolOn Tuesday April 30th at 10:30 am, the Texas House Human Services Committee will hear public testimony on Senate Bill 1803. This bill passed the Senate unanimously 31-0 a few weeks ago and was drafted by Senator Joan Huffman, a judge and former prosecutor, to enshrine due process rights for Medicaid providers into legislation. The hearing will be located in room E2.030 of the Capitol Extension.

It is important for all Medicaid providers to come out and testify in favor of this bill. If you wish to testify, you can register as a witness at the Capitol Tuesday morning at a number of registration kiosks in the building. Your testimony would be limited to three minutes unless you are asked questions by the Committee members.
