The Southcentral Foundation has fired three dentists after an independent investigation found they had allegedly falsified health records.
One of the dentists fired is the husband of the foundation’s president and chief executive officer.
In a press release, the nonprofit health care organization announced Dr. Kevin Gottlieb, Dr. Thomas Kovaleski and Dr. Clay Crossett had their employment terminated on July 15.
An anonymous complaint sparked the investigation that found “serious compliance issues in the SCF Dental Department.”
According to the press release, the dentists “falsified health records by attributing one dentist as the provider of routine dental exams when that dentist did not actually perform the procedures.”
