he ADA Health Policy Institute is inviting Association members to a free interactive webinar covering the shifting trends on the dental workforce based on the HPI’s latest key findings and data.
The webinar, The Changing Dentist Workforce — See the Newest Data from HPI, is scheduled for March 9 at noon Central time. HPI Senior Research Analyst Brad Munson will present the latest trends, through the end of 2021, on the number of practicing dentists in the U.S., demographic trends in the workforce, and shifts happening in the dental practice model. Marko Vujicic, Ph.D., HPI chief economist and vice president, will moderate the event.
Attendees can expect to learn some of the key highlights, including a bump in retirement rates among older dentists in 2021 which was compensated for by new graduate numbers. Data also found that the dentist workforce continues to get younger, with a higher share of women joining the profession, and that there’s an acceleration in the shift away from solo practice.
