Plainview dentist elected to serve on Texas Dental Association board of directors

A Plainview dentist was elected to the Texas Dental Association board of directors.

Dr. Georgia Mitchell, who owns and practices dentistry at Plainview West Texas Dental Associates, was chosen to serve on the Texas Dental Association board of directors, a professional organization that represents more than 9,200 dentists across the state.

he association was chartered in 1871 and is the third largest dental association in the country, according to the TDA website. The board of directors that Mitchell is now a part of includes 15 voting members and two non-voting ex officio members.

Mitchell is a 2016 graduate of the Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry. She also attended Roseman College of Dental Medicine, according to the West Texas Dental Associates website.
