Dr. Selina Fuentes Gutierrez — a Laredo native and practicing general dentist in San Antonio — has been nominated for the 2025 Texas New Dentist of the Year Award by the Texas Academy of General Dentistry.
“Being nominated for the New Dentist of the Year Award is a significant achievement,” said Texas AGD President Dr. Hanna Lindskog. “It highlights a group of outstanding young professionals whose skill, commitment and fresh perspective are shaping the future of dentistry.”
Born and raised in Laredo, Fuentes Gutierrez attended Texas A&M International University, where she worked as a chemistry lab assistant and graduated in 2014 with a biology degree, summa cum laude.
